BEIJING
- According to research conducted Symentec Corp., a group of hackers
who attacked Google in 2009, continues to launch cyber attacks to date. Their attacks targeting the U.S. defense companies and human rights groups.
Reporting
from GadgetNdtv, Sunday (09/09/2012), Google said in January 2010, he
and 20 other victims of a sophisticated cyber attack later dubbed
Aurora. As a result of the company's proprietary data successfully compromised by hackers originating from China.
Although
not publicly identified, the incident raised tensions between
Washington and Beijing, especially a lot of data showing attacks on U.S.
agencies from China.
"It
was big news at the time, but what people do not realize is that this
happens constantly. They (hackers) have not gone away, and we hope they
go away," said a manager at Symantec Eric Hien research group.
Symantec
said on Friday, the hacker later running "Operation Aurora" to steal
data intellectual property such as design documents from defense
contractors and some party security suppliers, including shipping,
aeronautics, energy, manufacturing, engineering, and electronics
companies.
